About: Richard Lublin 

From Hartford to Hollywood, from the courtroom to the soundstage.

 

Richard Lublin was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He attended Hall High School before enrolling at Duke University, where he earned his B.A. in 1961. After graduating Cornell Law School with a J.D. in 1964, Richard became a trial attorney in Hartford. He was a founding partner of a highly successful law firm and practiced until 1996. If his biography ended here, it would certainly close the book on an admirable career. But Richard Lublin was just getting started.

 

By the mid-1990s, after retiring from his law practice, friends in the entertainment business recommended him for various television roles, many on top-rated shows like Frasier, Law & Order, Married With Children, Ally McBeal and Chicago Hope.

 

Richard Lublin has also appeared in film roles, most notably as a mourner in Sidney Lumet's acclaimed movie:
Before The Devil Knows You're Dead. He appeared alongside actors such as the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei, Ethan Hawke and Albert Finney.

Richard's most recent appearance is in a new feature film, The Land of Steady Habits, where he plays the role of a friendly neighbor to the leading actor, Anders Hill (played by the talented Ben Mendelsohn). Edie Falco also stars in the film.

 

Giving back to the community has always held a special place in Richard Lublin’s heart. A generous philanthropist, Richard has established medical research foundations, sponsored educational prizes and donated educational scholarships.
