Career

Not your average career path.

Right from the start, Richard Lublin seemed destined for success in the legal profession. After graduating from Cornell Law School, he rose to become one of Connecticut’s most prominent trial attorneys. He started his own law firm, eventually building it up to a staff that included 97 people, including 22 practicing attorneys, and served as a litigator on some of Connecticut’s highest profile cases.

So why become an actor? Better question: after three decades in the legal profession, how does one make a seamless transition to television and film? Quite nicely, if you’re Richard. He made his TV debut in 1995 on the Fox hit series Married With Children. Since then, he has played many roles, including the part of a a lawyer, court clerk, and judge, all of which he was able to bring a realistic element to his roles by drawing on his three decades in the legal profession. Many of Richard’s appearances were on highly popular shows; if you’re a fan of Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal, Law & Order, Frasier, or Rescue Me, you’ve no doubt seen Richard Lublin, the actor in action. More recently, Richard has appeared in film roles, including: Before the Devil Knows your Dead and this year he performs in The Land of Steady Habits

Richard is member of SAG and AFTRA actor’s guilds.
